Travel Bucket List for 2023

If one thing is for certain, you never truly know what the year ahead can bring. What are your 2023 goals this year? Hit a new PR in the gym, get a new job, lose 15 pounds? Are you looking for new experiences or checking off must-see destinations on your bucket list?

Leave all the cheesy new years quotes at home and hit the road for new adventures this year.

A Couples Getaway

What's better than a getaway with the person you love to spend your time with? A week of relaxing on the beach or spend some time exploring that "off the beaten path" destination you've both been wanting to visit. Don't have that person in your life? I've been there..bring your mom or your best friend! Just make sure you're on the same page when it comes to the expectations for your trip.

A Girl's Trip

Everyone's lives are so crazy and hectic right now. Sometimes it can be hard to get a group of friends together even for a night. Plan it months in advanced so that everyone can mark it off on their calendars and get the girls back together! Visit a popular southern city destination like Charleston or Austin. Hit the night life or lay back on the beach. No matter the destination, I guarantee lots of laughs and memories will be made.

A Spontaneous Long Weekend

Pack your bags, show up to the airport and ask for the next flight out. A little tooo spontaneous? Play a flight roulette at home on your phone, book the trip and fly out that night. Take the Friday off of work and make it a long weekend. Sometimes the best memories are the ones that are made unplanned and unexpectedly. There's always going to be a reason why not to, so just make it happen!

Hike a Mountain

Whether its just a few hours drive from home or a trip to a national park, get out there a hike a mountain. Explore some of the most beautiful national parks around the world or cross off that mountain on your to do list that you've been always meaning to climb. Get uncomfortable and challenge yourself while seeing some views and breathing in the most fresh air.

Travel Somewhere Out of Your Comfort Zone

Plan a trip somewhere where you don't speak the language. Maybe it's not considered a popular tourist destination. Travel to a place that pushes you out of your comfort zone, makes you talk to the locals, have new experiences, see sights that only people would dream of seeing. Hike a volcano, go on an African safari, swim with sharks. Life is short, and this is your year to get uncomfortable!

Stay in a Cool AirBnb

Ever see those travel influencers posting just the most ridiculous Air BnB hanging off the edge of a cliff or looking out of the ocean? Well.. this is your year to make it happen! Since a lot of these popular hot spots book up fast, try to reserve as early as possible. Next time you check out Air Bnb take a look at the Zion EcoCabin, the Kingdom A-Frame, or the Villa Amalfi which were some of the most liked homes on Air Bnb's Instagram page.

Be a Tourist in your Own City

Sometimes the best adventure is in your own backyard and it takes being a "tourist" to see the real beauty that lies just in front of you. Still to this day, there is SO much I have yet to see in the smallest state in the county! Even though I have lived here for 28 years. Take a walking tour through the city or a boat tour by a nearby body of water. Get a hotel room in a city or town you've yet to explore and pretend you're a tourist! I promise, it will give you a different perspective of where you live.
