If you plan to visit Thailand, especially in the summer, expect very hot and humid temperatures. This means you are going to want to wear very light and comfortable clothing. I remember feeling like I did not pack enough clothing and I even went into an H&M in Bangkok to buy an outfit. Check out my packing guide so that you do not make the same mistake that I did when packing for your trip to Southeast Asia!
In many areas in Thailand when you are visiting the temples your shoulders and legs must be covered in order to enter. Take that into consideration when you are buying & packing certain outfits. You definitely want to bring a bathing suit & sandals you don't mind getting dirty for things like visiting an elephant sanctuary or ATV riding- where you'll likely run into some mud!
Every street corner in Thailand they sell "elephant pants". These flowy pants usually can be as cheap as 10$ if you can haggle a deal out of the locals. These ended up being a staple in my Thailand outfit repertoire. Check out the rest of my list for my Thailand packing guide.
